Orca Pass

Overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, this completely renovated home offers everything you need for a perfect family vacation. Watch whales pass up and down the Strait from the balcony, the huge deck or the hot tub. Listen to the pounding surf. Picnic on the lower terrace. Skye House at Anderson Cove

Reach out and touch the sky - you almost think that you can from this unique home. Overlooking Anderson Cove, the 12 acre property offers spectacular ocean views, forest trails leading to private little beaches (one even has a dock), mature Arbutus trees, moss-covered rocks, mist drifting over the Sooke hills and on a clear night from the hot tub, thousands of stars. Outside activities include hiking, kayaking, swimming (in a wet suit), bird watching and fishing.

Crowning the property is the three bedroom Skye House with its original art work and eclectic mix of comfortable furniture.  You are invited to relax in front of the fireplace or one of the two TVs. Ride your bike to local shops and restaurants, travel on the Galloping Goose Trail, go zip-lining at Adrenaline, try kayaking at Rush adventures, watch whales with Sooke Coastal Explorations, or fish for supper with Mark Grant Salmon Charters. Best of all, if you are a diver or curious about diving, talk to your host Stu Gordon. The Gordon Suite is above Scuba Stu's dive shop.

After a day of activity, come home to the comfort of the Gordon Suite with its big furniture, gas fireplace, in-house laundry facilities, four-poster bed, and views over Sooke Harbour and forested East Sooke. The courtyard between the shop and the main house with its fountain, barbeque, and outdoor patio furniture is also available for use by guests.

Some of our home owners are interested in longer rentals in the off season (October through May) and they are prepared to negotiate a reasonable rent. All of the houses are furnished and utilities are connected. On stays of longer than one month taxes do not apply. However, HST (12%) sales tax is applicable on all cleaning costs.
